眼底星空

I've decided to write this separate entry on our star-gazing experience in Tioman because it was something truly exceptional, totally unplanned and a bucket full of thrills and surprises...

Stargazing was indeed the most memorable part of the Tioman trip.. We did that for all 3 nights , each time staying later n later out at the beach after realizing most of the shooting stars only start to appear at around 1 to 2 am onwards. And man..it was the most awesome night sky i've ever admired in my life, and the more significant thing was that we had all the time in the world to lie there undisturbed with our beers and Keropoks n wait for the shooting stars to glide across the sky, while engaging ourselves in intimate heart-to-heart buddy talk (although I fell asleep occasionally cos of fatigue n alcohol). Haha.

In total, we caught enough shooting stars to make up for our unromantic lost childhood for the past 23 yrs of our lives, not that we were unromantic pple...but cos sg nite sky just cannot make it. Just when I have always thought catching shooting stars were some highly personal moments exclusive to oneself so that whatever wish you've wished for will be unique n specific to yourself only, the four of us shrilled and broke the silence of the night each time our 4 pairs of watchful eyes spot the same shooting star. Watching shooting stars are such fleeting moments, to the extent you can't even be certain if what you've just witnessed was merely an illusion or worse still a bird zooming past at top speed into the dark. So it's best to view it with a couple of friends just to make sure none of the shooting stars go unnoticed in your presence. There were the magnificent n graceful trailblazers who're out there on deliberate wish-granting missions, and there were also the elusive, shy but playful ones weaving in and out among the other lazy twinkling stars.

A truly remarkable and romantic lifetime experience that I'll really nvr forget. Maybe the beer and keropok part a bit off though...
