Album of the month (sep)

Ok, i didn't put up an Album-of-the-Month entry for August cos wasn't listening much and wasn't particularly impressed with any new album. David Tao and Jay Chou's new albums all quite disappointing.

So i shall still continue to recommend non-conventional stuff - Shawn Colvin's Polaroids greatest hits albums. I think most people at most know Shawn Colvin by her ever famous Sunny Came Home. But trust me, any other song in this album is as good as Sunny Came Home. Shawn Colvin's got a unique voice...particularly damn good with melancholic ballads. So here goes...

  1. Steady On
  2. Diamond In The Rough
  3. Shotgun Down The Avalanche
  4. Round Of Blues
  5. Polaroids
  6. I Don't Know Why
  7. Every Little Thing (He) Does Is Magic
  8. This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)
  9. Sunny Came Home
  10. You And The Mona Lisa
  11. Get Out Of This House
  12. The Facts About Jimmy
  13. Whole New You
  14. A Matter Of Minutes
  15. I'll Be Back
(pls msg me for the whole album. )

還是沒時間。。。

Didn't realize the week just slipped by so quickly. And I didn't getta fulfil any of those activities on the to-do list in the previous entry =(

My finance, AE and CAT assignments are always due on the same week every fortnight, so my stress level always peak during odd weeks and dip only a little on even weeks. So to speak, the average stress level thru'out the term conitnues to be high.

I'm so looking forward to squash trainings every tues n sats. I guess that's where i go let it all out. And with a couple of new certain members to the club, it's quite encouraging and that further spurs me to continue managing the team and bringing it to a higher level.

Had project kampuchea bonding camp over the past 2 days. It's great to meet all my new team mates - 22 of us in total, of whom I already knew a few already. Really hope to achieve some close frenships out of this project man....The bonding session was fun albeit short....it feels like a mini orientation camp amidst the endless study and workflow. It was fun playing those mindless games again especially with frens who make you feel like you've known them forever. And i got into the committee i've always deserve to be in - WELFARE COMM! haha! But there's actually quite a lot of work to do specific to welfare. As to how fast n efficient things are done, it would've to depend on how well i can click with the other 2 welfare comm ladies.

Some pics from the bonding session:

so meanwhile, life is back to more assignments, readings, quizzes, squash trainings, project meetings...

希望每一天都會過得更好。。。

沒時間,我沒時間!

Wellz...it's already the end of da Week 3 in school...haven't really had the time to blog actually....am still trying to recruit some really committed squashers into smu squash...will continue to put in effort to make the club a more organized one definitely. It's actually quite rewarding to see the same people turn up for every training, cos they are the ones who're potentially more inclined to committing to the club than anyone else...will by all means try to make them stay on with us man..

And yes it's saturday and i'm completely drained physically....went for softball clinic yesterday and then played some serious squash today. Softball's really fun....would love to join them for regular trainings if not for squash and project Kampuchea...speaking of which...yea it's the next big thing on my weekly agenda now. Proj Kampuchea's this overseas community involvement project planned and organized by 3 fellow econs classmates, and it's gonna last for abt 17 days sometime in december. As the name suggests, the project's gonna take place in Cambodia in a few villages around Phnom Penh. I tink it's quite cool to do CIP in a country as exotic and laid back as Cambodia. What's more, i'm going with a close bunch of frens from Econs! Looks like it really is gonna be quite a lifechanging learning experience...ha.

Will next have to worry about juggling proj kampuchea work, squash trainings n planniing of activities and very heavy projects in time to come...but it's already week 3 and it's so-far-so-good...really...I think having picked up the racket again, i'm beginning to feel more energetic and driven somehow.

What's up on my to-do list next:
- play frisbee
- more KTV sessions (with M.I.C)
- Kayaking
- Mahjong sessions

man..i wish i've all the time in the world.
